This is the untold story of how recognizing this missing piece led to the creation of LigaIndex™ and sparked a movement to transform ethical finance. What began as a product development challenge evolved into a mission to rebuild the foundation of ethical investing itself—creating not just better tools, but a new paradigm for values-aligned finance in the 21^st century.

The Story Behind LigaPay™ Insight: From a Missing Tool to a Movement

When I set out to build LigaPay™, I had one clear goal: to create a platform where ethics are not just a feature—they are the foundation. But what started as a product vision soon revealed something deeper—a broken and fragmented system in ethical finance.

As I began developing LigaPay™, I realized there was no existing ethical screening tool robust enough to meet the demands of a diverse, globally conscious investing public. I needed a system that could do more than score checkboxes. It needed to integrate moral, environmental, and faith-based dimensions across value systems—while remaining modular and data-driven.

The Flawed Landscape

The deeper I looked, the more I discovered just how flawed the landscape had become:

• • Many platforms relied on vague or inconsistent ESG scoring frameworks.
• • Some companies met Shariah standards but violated labor or environmental norms.
• • Others passed Christian (BRI) or Jewish values screens while profiting from interest-based or speculative activities.
• • Some excelled in ESG ratings yet remained tied to extractive or ethically questionable practices.

The 16-Month Journey

With more than 16 years of experience in biotechnology research and systems development, I embarked on a new journey—one that took over 16 months of hard work, self-directed learning, failure, and iteration. I studied blockchain and fintech, earned credentials from the University of Pennsylvania, and began building what I couldn't find.

That journey gave birth to LigaIndex™ (Patent Pending)—a sophisticated, multi-framework, modular screening tool. Today, it powers every investment decision on LigaPay™.

The Bigger Picture

But something else happened along the way: I saw the bigger picture.

I saw an industry struggling with inconsistency, greenwashing, exclusion, and investor confusion. Ethical finance needed a lighthouse—something more than another product.
